Message from Dean Jessica Zacher Pandya
Welcome to the College of 教育 at 基督教社会联盟 Dominguez Hills!
The 2024-25 Academic Year is going to be a great one for the College of 教育 at 基督教社会联盟DH. We work closely with several district partners including LAUSD, Inglewood, 霍桑, 林伍德, 康普顿, and others to prepare teachers, school counselors and leaders for schools in the Los Angeles region. We pride ourselves on actively pursuing our vision and mission, and on working with and for the diverse multilingual communities in which we live.
Undergraduate and credential students can find support at the COE’s Student Success Center. Our graduate students—M.A./M.S. 和艾德.D.—are well supported by their 教师 advisors. 教师 at 基督教社会联盟DH are running several federal grants, including one that promotes multilingual, minoritized educator development and supports the professional development of bilingual teachers, as well as state grants to create residency programs with partner districts and to help classified school 工作人员 earn teaching credentials. We were gifted with $21.9M to support students in our new PK-3 Credential program beginning Spring 2025. We are home to the 快速公司. Institute for Technology & 教育, bringing high-quality, standard-aligned computer science to the educational experience of all K-12 students in the Los Angeles area. 基督教社会联盟DH’s College of 教育 is a busy, vibrant place to study and work!
Our leadership team includes Interim Associate Dean Adriean Mancillas as well as five Department Chairs, our Academic Resources Manager Lauren Ansorge, and several 关键员工. One of my favorite things about being the Dean is that I get to talk to students, 工作人员, 教师, community partners, and College supporters, and with each conversation I learn more about how to support the great work we do together.
